Hi Tyra and Tyra's online audience, I just finished watching the episode on Black Models and I thought it was great. I love seeing Black women come together in such a positive way, acknowledging that all shades of Black are Beautiful. I think that this episode was a great way to celebrate Black Beauty, and our up-and-coming Sistas on their way to the top. Great job Tyra!

I was so angry when Tyra and the models released the helium balloons. I support black models but the balloons cause a great deal of harm to the environment. As one of the more educated people in the media, I expected Tyra to know better. Those ballons will end up hurting many animals and sea creatures, not to mention they take FOREVER to degrade into the earth. I hope next time Tyra takes into consideration the effect her choices on the environment before she rushes through them.

Hi Tyra, I have no idea if this gets read by anyone who is involved with the show, or if it's just for the audience to connect with one another. This episode was great, and you all have so much to be proud of. Nevertheless- I can't believe you released balloons into the atmosphere. It made a great visual, and is a nice concept, but it's pollution just like any other type of litter. Latex balloons (if your balloons were made of latex) are biodegradable, but the strings most definitely are not. They end up in the oceans or being digested by animals, and they can bind their intestines and kill them. Especially after you had a season of ANTM dedicated to being "green," I think you should have thought this through a little more before doing it.

Hi Tyra, I have never before written a comment on ANY of these websites but as I sit here and watch your show today I just had to write one. All the ladies on the show are beautiful and same with the women in the audience, the only thing that I am thinking is that the other day you did a show on skin bleaching and i can't help but notice that most of the beautiful black models that you have on your show look VERY lite colored and some even have blonde hair. Actually a couple of them didn't look black to me at all. Do you think that this is one of the reasons that so many black women feel that lighter skin is better, just the fact that most black models are lighter? I just feel that you kinda re-inforced the feelings from the women on your skin bleaching show by this show! I wish that there were more BEAUTIFUL DARK skined black models. I really hope that this doesn't offend anyone, I just wanted to write my opinion! I still think all the ladies were BEAUTIFUL, but they would have been just as beautiful if they were darker skinned with darker hair (like Jessica White and Tokara...sorry about the spelling :)

why isn't it on? it's totally five WHAT HAPPENED?

I really wanted to see this show today, however, where I live, they re-aired a show that was on last week...the one with the couple dating other people for 24 hours. I hope I'll get to see it one of these days.

Shame on you for releasing helium balloons! That is just glorified littering. Most people know that when they deflate and hit the ocean they kill hundreds of endangered sea turtles. I would have thought that you and your producers would be more environmentally aware. I will not be watching your show again.

Tyra: Shame on you and your producers for not mentioning "Naomi Sims" the first Black model to gain world wide recognition in the 60's. Naomi Sims appeared on the cover of Life in 1969. Before Beverly Johnson ,the Naomi Sims Collections of wigs and beauty products were sold in leading departments stores across the nation.
