Hi Tyra, I am a older woman who you probably think would be too old for your show, but I am so glad that I have lived long enough to see someone care and cater to the black woman and the black race. I don't mean to sound races, because I am not; but when you watch tv all you see are white shows, white news anchors, white movies, white media and not too many blacks exposed to the masses. I think that your show has brought out alot of issues that we as black people have and you have given them an outlet to talk about some of them. I have been wanting to chat with you sence your show aired, but haven't had the time. That is why my comments are so long. Tyra, keep up the good work for us the under dogs and hopefully with God's help we will prevail! Much love and respect Ms. B.

Is it my imagination, or were most of those "BLACK" women very white and Asian looking? Beverly Johnson looked like Carmen Electra, can her hair get any blonder? Tyra was right--the most beautiful BLACK woman on the show was her mother. She was actually black. Even Tyra looks Vanilla. Please!

Hey Tyra, I was real disapointed that 90% of the models on todays show didn't protray an accurate representation of the true black model. Most of them were either mullato women or asian-african women. Yes about 10% did look like a model women from Africa, but the rest cleary weren't. This kind of production on todays show is not going to solve elements of discrimination in the modeling industry and our society as a whole.

I teach my children not to focus on a person's skin color, but look for the beauty within the person. This entire episode gave props to ONLY black women, which was not appropriate for a national show. Not even a token Italian, Asian or white woman made the show. The word BLACK was thrown around every 5 minutes. It's time to realize that we are one country with numerous skin tones. Yes it is true black people have had it hard in this country, as have many other races, but that time has long passed, we are about to have a black family in the white house, a strong black man as our president, proof that Blacks are no longer treated unfairly. Can we stop harping on the ugly past, and be proud of where we are headed? Work hard in this country and you can go anywhere. This was not appropriate for a national show. Not in this time in history. I will agree however that they were all gorgeous!

HI Tyra, its is always amazing to see strong, eduacted, beautiful women of color inspiring younger generations. Thank you for letting the world know that black and brown is beautiful.... P.s. I'd love to gte my hands on a copy of that issue of vogue. any suggestions?

How come when Tyra have a show celebrating TOP BLACK MODELS people get their panties in a bunch? Hell yea I'm glad she had this show compared to what she had yesterday. Black models don't get recognize like they should. Its ALWAYS white white white, anarexic, pale and boney....which is ABSOLUTELY BORING!!! There are SO MANY BLACK MODELS (past & present) get ignored because I think its jealousy. What else could it be. It damn sure aint unattractiveness. THAT'S BULLSHIT!! So I'm glad she did that. If white AMERIKKKANS would keep it equal in the modeling & entertainment buisness, there wouldn't be no need to have BET, MISS BLACK AMERICA, etc. GOOD JOB T. :)

They are the reason I love fashion. When I saw Pat Cleveland I became very emotional, because you don;t see or hear about them that much anymore.Thank you for the history that our young girls and ladies need to hear. And also we come in a array of beautiful colors. You made this forty something, very happy and proud to be a black woman of today.I wish I was in the studio audience for this show, to be in the presence of those legends.
