tyra, I have been trying to find the historic issue with all the black models in vogue. I even took a trip to milan (I'm a fligt attendant)in hopes of being able to find the issue. Can you please help? I know that it has gone to press three times. I have a 15yr old daugter and I also mentor other young ladies . I want them to see that all things are possible when you believe. Hi Tyra, I just saw the show yesterday. I was really impressed by how proud you and the rest of the models of yourselves.I am a palestenian girl living in Jordan and arab girls in general have an unspoken problem which is hating their own skin color. most girls here and in the middle east are brunetts (if it's the right word ) we have the skin tone of Vanessa Hudgenes and Eva Longoria Parker. we are attacked not physically but with sarcastic jokes i call them racial, they try to hide that beautiful skin tone by appling much lighter colors of powder or foundation. It's ugly cause their faces look like they were puffed with flour! Even guys don't check out the girl with darker skin tone , their future bride must be tall ,thin , and "white" means she has a lighter skin tone. I am one of those girls who has the darker skin tone, I know they are wrong but I can't be outspoken about it cause they will a fool out of me

I don't see why some people are saying "why are there only black models in this Itailian Vogue issue", when on almost every other mag cover there's a white woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. P. Diddy even agrees that there are NOT enough black high-fashion runway models. I think He would know all to well being that He's a celeb who has a clothing line and often attends fashion show. Besides having to somewhat set the record straight I think all the black models in this issue were completely stunning. Tyra is a positive role model for women and young girls everywhere. I think She is even more beautiful than she was when she first stepped onto the runway. The world could use more genuine people like her.

For all those people who say the the black models looked mixed, too light-skinned, or Asian. That is BLACK! Black comes in over 30 different shades and many different looks. Black is an American term for people with any African heritage. I doesn't matter whether its 100%, 50% or .5%, if you have African heritage you are looked at as black in society. No one said black is a 100% African, who knows there full ethnic heritage? There are probably a very small percentage of blacks in America a 100% African. There are people born in African that aren't a 100% African heritage, Europeans have been procreating with African for centuries. NO nationality is 100% for everyone. Get over it! The whole point was to enjoy BLACK beauty and all its many tones, hues, and looks. And by the way...I didn't see Asian looking women or some of the other stuff some people have posted. Africa is the homeland of all races...
