More and more manly dudes are turning into makeup divas.

ladiesonly.jpgLock up your lipsticks, ladies! Guys everywhere are eyeing eyeliner and glancing at gloss. "Mancake" mania is spreading like fire-engine-red nail polish and could be headed to a hottie near you.

The latest posterboy for guy grooming is "High School Musical" heartthrob Zac Efron. Zac's a makeup maven, painting his precious face with boy bronzer and guyliner. Not that we're complaining. He can raid our Sephora stash anytime he wants!

Other famous fellows who've put on their fancy faces include Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, pretty pirate Johnny Depp and make-up magnet Mick Jagger.

Man makeup even makes an appearance in history books. According to salon.com, guys in ancient Egypt applied eyeliner to keep away the "evil eye," Roman chick-magnets chalked their cheeks and 18th Century Frenchmen blushed up their boyish grins.

Now makeup stores are trying to turn ordinary manly men into "facially enhanced" fellows. (Guys usually prefer this term since "mancake" doesn't sound that, um, manly.)

Clinique is marketing its Clinique M Cover ($13) to men who want to "hide dark circles, blemishes and shaving nicks." Sephora's top sellers for men include a bevy of bronzers along with Jean Paul Gaultier's Monsieur line, which features concealer ($20), powder bronzer ($40) and eyeliner pencil ($14).

You tell us: Is man makeup fierce or freaky? Would you be freaked if your guy mixed up some mancake before a date? Or would you help on his hunt for perfection?

im a very big fan for guy liner [ not for every one]

Really it's not up to the girls what a guy does i mean if you don't like it tell if you want but one I feel souldn't tell someone what they can or can do because if a guy told me how to dress I wouldn't be afraid to tell him where to go so I feel that I cam't do that to a guy guess thats just the way I am.

I don't see anything wrong with men wearing make-up. Gothic wear all black including lipstick and nail polish. Besides color on a man brings his looks out.

I disagree with Cierra, we don't wear makeup fort he fun of it and many of my girlfriends would rather not, they say it is a hassle to look beautiful so I don't think we are taking away anything fun for girls. Besides that, makeup is used to enhance features, of course women can get away with a lot more, but I don't see nothing wrong with foundation, powder, concealer, bronzer, mascara, or eyeliner. I wouldn't wear eyeshadow or lipstick or blush.

I'm a guy and have been using makeup since middle school, mostly to just hide acne and marks back then. I'm 22 now, and still use concealer & foundation usually every morning. I don't see anything wrong with caring about how I look and trying to improve my looks. Its not like I'm using it to look all girly...so most people don't even know I'm using it. I do admit...it felt a little strange at first shopping for that stuff, but I got over it. Now would I wear lipstick and mascara...no, i think i'd leave that for my girlfriend...lol

i feel its ok if a man wants to wear makeup or any other enhancement he should be able to because who are we to judge GOD should be the only one to make that decsion after all the bible doesnt say anything about men shall not do this kinda thing so really if a women is free to do what they want then why cant a man after all it is a free country and that dont mean only for women... my personal opion is let a person be who they are (as long its not against what GOD has written)and be comfortable with who you are.. im all for men wearing cosmedics if he wishes too and personally think it look good as long its not over done like tammy fay baker (lol)

I think make-up on guys is hot. If they want to wear it, let them. Guys have just as much right to wear make-up. If they want to cover up an unwanted blemish or nick or just wear it just for the princible of it.

hey personally i believe if u look good with it rock it if not then stop it!!!

if guys want to wear makeup, let them. we live in a society where people aren't accepting enough to welcome "different" things with an open mind. women spend time on doing their hair, makeup, etc. why shouldn't men? besides, men have been wearing makeup since ancient times. instead of regarding men who like to take care of and groom themselves as weird, we should let them live their lives and do whatever THEY want with THEIR face, body, etc.

i dont believe men should wear make-up. wats w/ all these gurls sayin they should? i dont understand it. u kno wat there r ladies who dont wear pants at all. ma bf doesnt believe girls should wear pants cuz sum things dat should b 4 men should stay dat way. & wats 4 ladies should stay dat way. cuz 1 thing leads 2 another. i would NEVER want ma man walkin in here w/ make up. i dont care if he a has a huge scar, id b like "o baby r u ok? u still look cute tho!" i def dont think those guys w/ make up on look @ all good let alone sexy. & its not like i live in da stone ages or n-e thing cuz i still live in dis century & shop like it 2.

well i think its ok 4 some guy's!!! not all guy's like the rocker's wear it really heavy it is horrible on them but a sweet kind man eyeliner dont mind!!?? :):):):)

well i think that its kewl if a guy wears some makeup. me personally I LOVE eyeliner and im still trying to get my hands on some foundation to cover up my meteor of a face (no joke), i think if you dont go overboard (unless you a drag queen, SO ME) its all good, even a little of eye shadow just above the eyeliner, this new thing i heard of called adronomous or somthing like that really looks good on guys, even the manly kind.

i think it is cool to put on make up. men should also look good. if you have issues with your looks and there is something you can do to improve it, why not? i think it is time men came up to face the fact straight on. personally i have instances when i feel i need to look good, so? it does well for me! and guess what? it make ladies turn
