After the VMAs, do you smell a Britney comeback?

britney.jpgDid you see the MTV Video Music Awards last night? If so, you couldn't miss the svelte Spears rocking that super-sparkly, silver Versace mini-dress. Aside from showing off her banging bod, Britney also swept the awards, winning Video of the Year, Female Video and Best Pop Video for "Piece of Me."

Though there was all sorts of hot gossip that Britney would be singing in the show's opener, no such luck. She did, however, do an opening comedy sketch (okay, it wasn't hilarious) with "Superbad" star Jonah Hill, who tried to slip her some tongue. (Can you blame the guy?) Still, it was a big night for the former pop princess.

Even though she's been nominated for 16 Moonmen in the past, she'd never won until last night. And she definitely blew her last VMA appearance out of the water. Which brings us to one very important question: After all the K-Fed drama and the tabloid fodder about her oh-so-cute baby boys, is Brit finally making a full-blown comeback?

With those gorgeous golden tresses and her fantabulous vintage garb, Brit certainly looked the part of a comeback queen. You tell us: Were the VMA's Britney's first stiletto-clad step to bringing back her career?

Everything will eventually work out for our girl.. Everyone has ups and downs.Wether it be big or small we all go through it, the only difference is Britneys' is out in the open. I think we should all look pass that and look forward to a bright future that this young lady will bring for us. Shes got alot of entertaining left. Let her show us what she has left.... As for Kevin he better come better than that... and be there for her thats what family is all about.. Get it together man and stop taking the womans hard earn money get your own,, be a man. Cause Britney could do BAD BY HERSELF.,,..

After everything that Britney has been through, she looked fabulous at the VMAs. I think she's starting to put her life back together. She is a successful singer, and she always will be known for that!

That perfection and demand HERSELF --I PRAY SHE FINDS PEACE-SHE WANTED THAT DEMAND OF PERFECTION HAS- to go with bipolar--or it will cause addiction and rush junkie performences is like bieng made bipolar. AMAZING! Britney deserved all three of the awards she recieved..Gimmie More and Piece of Me were huge hits that were constantly being played on the radio PLUS blackout sold 3.6 million worldwide MORE than her In The Zone album and between 325,000 and 350,000 on it's first day being released! The whole night was about Britney and it couldn't of been any better I think generally everyone (minus haters)want to see Britney do well and come back bangin! Britney has provided the MTV awards with some of it's best preformances (Slave for you with the snake, the madonna kiss) yet she has never recieved any moonmen which is crazy...anyways the award show and the postive feedback are a great launching pad for Brit to get back to doing what she does best, entertaining! So hopefully we can all shift focus back on her music career rather than her personal life!

I think it's really up to Britney... she wasn't ready last year and the world tried to force her to come back to us. I think we should just let her do her thing naturally. If she wasn't ready to perform yet, I'm glad she didn't! (Even though it would've been awesome.) I think this is a great start for Britney to gain her confidence back and be 'Britney Spears' again!

I think Britney looked wwayy good! I defintely think shes on the road to a great comeback! No, they werent pity awards, shes doing great! Im so glad to finally see her happy and strong like shes always been (well before K-fed). After seeing everything shes been through, with her kids, her hair, the paparazzi, and her ex, i think she definetly deserves it!

In my opinion, Britney deserved at least 1 of the awards. Her video, of all the videos nominated that night, was the only one who had it's very own special on 20/20 or some show on ABC. It caused a lot of fuzz because it was her first attack on those who attack her constantly: THE MEDIA. I liked how she referenced all the vids that surfaced of her on the internet getting drunk and looking wild-eyed. It definitely did deserve awards, more than any of her songs before because it was the most personal song and video she's done in her ten years in the business. Plus, she was going up against songs that have no meaning in the artists life for example the Jonas Brothers and Rihanna, they were singing songs with no meaning to them they were just some random hits written for them to complete an album, and although Britney did not write the song for "Piece of Me" she did help in it's creation because it was inspired by her hectic life.

I'm happy for her and just to let you all know it wasn't promies to us that she was going to be performing they said OPENING UP THE SHOW witch means it could have been anything...!! RIGHT? you guys just wanted to see her fall on her face but guess what haters in away she was crackin up in your face you seen it....but yeah the awards were really wack they could have done so much better seeing that it was there 25th year
