So you wear a retainer while you sleep and take two hours to get ready (20 minutes of that is just doing your eyes!). So what? Every girl has her little quirks -- and there's no need to hide them from your man. Ladies, don't waste your time with these cover-ups. Let your hair down -- or take that weave out while you sleep -- and let him see the real you. If he can't hack it, he can always move along, right?
1. You Dye Your Hair. News flash: If you're platinum but you've got jet-black roots, he's probably already on to you. But if you're going a little gray around the temples (say it isn't so!) and you'd rather pull every strand of your hair out (one by one) than let him catch a sneak peek of one silver strand, ask yourself why. Is he judgmental or shallow? Or are you worried about nothing? If it's your young, sassy spirit that he loves, he won't see you as more Golden Girl than glamour girl, trust us!
2. You Have a Silly Bedtime Ritual. Okay, so it feels a little fifth grade to be hitting the pillow with mouth gear. But once he gets the first "metal mouth" joke out of the way, he'll think it's cute. Same thing goes for a blanky. If it makes you comfy, he'll just have to deal. Besides, if he still gets his bedtime kiss, the man's got no room for complaining.
3. Your Splurge -- Often. You're making the money, honey. So why fret over that $300 pair of shoes you just had to have? If you have to hide your spending from him when you're dating, what's going to happen if you get married? Will he control your bank account then, too -- or perhaps give you an allowance? You're far too fierce and independent for that. Establish financial independence early.
4. He's Terrible in Bed. Or you hate the sloppy, slimy way he smooches. If you don't bring it up now (gently, of course!) you'll be stuck with wet puppy dog kisses for eternity. You deserve to have your socks -- and any other unmentionable articles of clothing you can think of -- rocked right off by him. Anything less is unacceptable!
