Angelica RosasLast Friday, after starting my morning with back-to-back meetings, I returned to my desk to find an e-mail message from the Vice President. As I opened it, I held my breath and hoped for the best. Well, I got my wish. The email revealed the Daytime Emmys were happening in five hours, there was an extra ticket and I was invited to join the party!

I did a little celebratory dance in my chair... then reality struck: I had five hours to finish my work on deadlines, get my hair and makeup done -- and drive through L.A. traffic to the venue. Was I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, what to wear?! I needed a dress, which also meant I needed time to shave my legs. It's hard enough finding a fabulous gown to wear for such an occasion, even with weeks to spare, but when you're a size 16... it might be easier to find an Emmy! Undaunted, I finished my work and headed to the mall.

Four hours to go and I'm running through department stores like... a woman who needs a dress. I hit up four high-end stores, with the perfect excuse for "price is no object," hoping to find something amazing in a size 16, leaving me with the proverbial and literal fat chance. The largest size they had was an 8. Not even a size 10 to give me the momentary illusion that I might hold my breath, skip dinner and have a quickie liposuction somewhere in the mall. One lovely woman at a store which shall remain nameless actually said, "I might have a granny-style dress that will fit you." If I'd had a cane she'd be permanently wearing it.

Dejected, I headed toward my favorite store, Macy's. I don't know why I didn't go there first; I always find things that fit well, look professional and result in a lot of compliments. I just thought the more expensive stores would have something appropriately fierce. Time was running out. I ran into Macy's and it hit me... a stunning, green Adrianna Papell Grecian gown... it reminded me of something I'd seen J.Lo wearing on the red carpet. I grabbed a size 16 off the rack (and a 14 and 18 just to be safe). Things got even better as I tried on the size 14 first -- and it fit perfectly! And in a leprechaun-like bonus, it was on sale! Double score!

I had my makeup applied at the store counter, bought a purse, picked up some earrings and ran out the door just in time to get myself to the red carpet in time. I didn't have time to buy shoes, so I wore flip-flops, which were hidden under my long dress, along with my unshaven legs.

The good luck streak continued -- as Tyra won the Emmy for Best Informative Talk Show!

My fashion secret is out! Now tell me yours! Where do you go in a plus-sized fashion emergency?!

TYRA! I need serious help! I am a stay at home mom, with a five month old baby girl. I feel as if I dont have the time or the energy to work out. Im 5 foot 10 ichs tall, and I weigh 174 pounds! Ive always been a skinny girl, my weight be for was 130 pounds abs and all! But I am not the same girl I was before I got pregnant. Before I would run, crunch, and burn my booty off. Now I literaly make up every excuse to just lay around! My strech marks are bad, and when I say bad I mean BAD! Since i am a stay at home mom, and my husband works we dont have much of anything. So I can't go and get a gym membership or anything, diapers are more important. Maybe if u can tell me some cheap ways of geting rid of strech marks, and wanting to get in shape. I would really be grateful!

Hello All, My name is Caroline Gold. I am 18 years old, i have a 6 month old son, and I recently married my sons father and the love of my life (aug. 14,08). I have been big since I was about 11. I have tried to lose weight several ways but nothing works. My husband tells me I am sexy and he loves the way i look but i don't love it. i am 5'6 and weigh probably 218 after i had my son. I also believe if i did lose weight that my back would not be so bad. i can never find any thing i think looks right on me at all i would appreciate suggestions or help

Macys is amazing!

Well, I have to say that I have always been smaller.......until now. I was in a really bad car accident when I was 14 and I was in the trauma unit in a Nashville, Tn hospital for a while. Before the accident, I was like 5'6 120 lbs. Mostly Muscle too since I always played sports, softball, basketball, Volleyball, crosscountry....etc but I lost a lot more weight like down to 100 lbs, and I was sickly looking, I had a lot of internal injuries...but stayed pretty small Now I am 20 years old and I am a 12/14 and I am so uncomfortable in my own body. I am a nurse, and how am I supposed to tell pt's they need to loose weight, you know if it's related to their diagnosis, and I am overweight. I like am like 170 lbs, thats after loosing 30 lbs with medication from the doctor. I just want to be healthy, but living in the south especially, where we "fry" EVERYTHING.....it's hard to stick to a diet, and keep my Husband fed..haha. I am not saying that I want to be a certain size, I just want to be healthy.....what can I do???

I jut wanted to ay Im plus size- very plu size. I hope oneday I will be confident enough in myself to love and embrace how I look or love myself enough to change it if im not happy. Thank you for all your comments they really helped me.

Wow girl ! You rocked that dress ! I agree with Sasha, "What not to Wear" is amazing when your wondering what you should be wearing. However, my personal favorite show for ideas is.. (you guessed it!) The Tyra Banks Show ! I am a 16 year old curvaceous girl, with two other sisters in the same boat. The only difference between me and them is I have the extra baggage, they only have the curves. I used to feel so discouraged when I saw them, along with any other girl who always seems to be smaller then me. That is, until I started watching your show. You taught me that every body is beautiful, which has changed me so much. I don't hide my body anymore, I embrace it. Thank you so much, lots of love.

Hey girls...well i can honestly say that Im 19 years old and i weight about 200. But i dont really look like..I look as if im 170...lol. I shop usually shop at Torrids or something like that. I have a big butt so sometimes its hard to find pants that fit my butt right. But other than that I rarely have a hard time finding clothes. I have discovered that clothing designers have really "UPED" the plus size clothes. Things arent looking ugly or unattractive anymore and they arent looking like granny clothes. I love my thick body.
