Hot Girl How-To

Fail-proof tips on being the sexiest girl in the room (without dancing on the table!)

There's the obvious kind of sexy: the girl at the party who insists on playing strip poker or the one who somehow always ends up on top of the bar workin' it like she might need, um, a pole. Both are definite ways to get noticed -- for all the wrong reasons. How do you win the title of "hottest girl in the room" without slapping on a skirt so short it skipped your thighs and climbed right up to your throat? Easy -- it's all about body language. Here's our guide to bringing sexy back -- without showing off all your goodies!
The Eyes Have It
Hands down best way to initiate flirting? Make eye contact with the scrumptious boy across the room. And once you've sucked him in with a quick glance, give him a sweet (not creepy!) lingering stare. There you have it -- insta-attraction.
Standing Tall
No matter how much those drop-dead sexy heels make you want to collapse on the first fluffy couch you see, you must resist the urge to take a seat. If you fall below eye level, you're less noticeable. Stand and work the room, dahlings.
Touchy, Touchy
Blondie was on to something when she sang, "When I think about you, I touch myself." This last move is kind of like that, just more subtle. If you twirl your hair around your finger or softly adjust the strap of your cute summer top, you draw attention to your luscious locks or your sexy, sun-kissed shoulders without screaming, "Look at me!"
Crossing Over
Folding your arms or crossing your ankles tells potential dates one thing: "Leave me alone!" Don't want to come across as Miss Crankypants? Let your lovely arms rest at your side. Or channel Tyra and strike your fiercest pose. When someone approaches you, lean forward a bit (not too much because no one likes a weird personal space invader). It's a simple move, but it makes other people -- like that smoldering stud in the corner -- feel wanted. And like he wants to get your number, buy you a million roses, write you love songs until his hand cramps...and, well, you get the point!

hey Tyra,
ive been with the same guy for 2 yrs. and we have a son together but i feel like he can do better because there is always a sexier girl than me around and i feel he wants a girl like her.
how do feel like im enough for him or maybe blow his mind by looking ten times better than the other girls?
Hi Tyra,
I'm writing b/c some/most of my recent dating experiences have been... much less than what I want. I'm a cute girl but the physical package seems to be all men see and want from me. I'd like to think I'm also smart and interesting. I have to admit that my self-esteem is taking some hits. Seems like if I don't want to be alone I have to let go of myself.
Any tips on helping guys realize that they've got more than just a pretty face? I'd also appreciate any pre-screening tecniques you have to recognize the guys who would rather not be bothered by beauty and brains. I know you know.
Thanks in advance. I love your show and I love your mission. It is inspiring to see a woman who has it all and wants to give something to the world and to people. Thanks for answering the call.
Charlie
Okay, so I have a sticky little situation, Tyra, and I was hoping you could give me a little advice. I am best friends with my crush's little sister. What to do? I'm nice to everyone around him BUT him because I've been trying not to hurt or use my BFFL just to get to her brother. What do I do? Oh, by the way, he's an incredible track and field star, smokin' hot, super smart, and the hottest attraction for the ladies - but not a player. We used to communicate more but now I just get so nervous I freeze. I don't even give him EYE CONTACT! Dispicable! I think he thinks I dislike him. I hope to hear back from you soon! By the way, your show is on my daily schedule of daytime tv when I'm on summer vacation!!!
I dont have to much trouble when i get my self dne up before i leave but sometime i just dont have the time to doit before i go. So i was wondering on some self tips to feel beautiful when i had to hussle and bussel to leave the house. It always happens when i leave like that I run into my Boyfriends friends and family or worse my co-workers.
Hello Tyra,
I love your show and how you help people feel good about themselves. I am a 33year old wife and mom and I was wondering if you could tell me how to feel better about myself. I dont really think i am ugly but i dont fit in well with people. I am disabled from an inherited disease called Friedrichs Ataxia, I am not disfigured but might as well be from how people react sometimes. If I'm not in my wheelchair people dont know there is anything wrong with me. My husband tries sometimes to get me to be o.k. but most of the time it just sucks. I have had 3 wonderful kids they help me to. I cant get the right exercise or afford surgery to get rid of my belly or lift my breasts back up and that makes me feel as bad as the chair. I know I sound wierd but its driving me crazy do you have any ideas to help me? Thank you for listening. Angie
Hi Tyra
I'm an 18year old South African Girl living in Asutralia. I love my life over here as it's much safer and offers me so much more than the life i lived in SA.
But i dont know why but i hate it, i'v become really depressed and i never see an upside to anything.
I'm really not happy with my body image, my life over here (it's almost as if i'm just over with Perth)
I need change and really badly or i can see myself becoming a person i dont want to be!
I want to move to America, start fresh and have no worries behind me..
My partner and i are wanting to leeve really badly. He wants to live in New Zeland but i just dont know..
If you can some guidence or help in anyway would be much appreciated
Kind Regards

This article is completely true. Another great tip would be to feel sexy. Listen to a song before you go out that makes you feel your sexiest and think about it while your out. If you feel it, it shows. It's the simple things that go a long way. Oh, and don't focus on what you hate about yourself. Focus on what you think makes you sexy. If it's your shoulders, add a little gold shimmer...your eyes, make them dazzle by applying the perfect shades of eyeshadow. Make your favorite parts pop and no one will notice what you consider your 'flaws'. Just remember, every women is beautiful and you must embrace your look...don't try to hide it.
Blondie did not sing 'When I think about you, I touch myself.'! The song 'Touch Myself' is by the Divinyls.
Gosh.
Otherwise, great article :)
