I just decided to watch the Tyra show for the first time because of the topic: pornography. Unfortunately, (although predictable for a day-time talk show ) the show offered no real information about the effects of pornography on women, children or society at all. I feel like the Tyra Banks show had a great opportunity to let people know about some of the truly negative and damaging effects of pornography on society, on men, on men's objectification of women, on women's self-esteem, on rape, child-molestation etc... But no one at the show behind the scenes took the time to bring anything of value to the show. Rather they put a panel of women on the stage and watched them get upset about the issue and then said " why do women have to judge eachother about porn - if people want to watch ..or not...we shouldnt judge..." what? is that the best this show can do? Pornography is a serious issue that has seriously damaging effects on society and societies views and treatment of women. I Have a degree in political science and a minor in women's studies so I have seen the numerous studies done by different universities all over the country about how pornography effects how men feel about women etc.... Did not one producer bring up the idea of presenting this side of the issue?? Nope because it's easier to just stand there and keep the issue at surface level and let women say back and forth for an hour "its disgusting" "no, its healthy" "it's gross" "no its great!" "I think its bad" "well i think its good" Whatever. I guess the intellectual conversation has to be saved for an Oprah show.

Today was the first time I watched Tyra's show and I must say that I am sick of women and men speaking for all womanhood. I've heard men (religious and non-religious)say that women do not have the same sexual drive as men and do not think about sex the way men do (I think about sex 24/7). I hear women saying how women want romance and to cuddle in order to get in the mood. Well, PLEASE STOP SPEAKING FOR ME!!! I am not really romantic and when it comes to sex, yes, I like "to get down to it" as they said on your show. I can stand maybe 1 or 2 minutes of foreplay and I'm freakin' bored. Flowers, dinner and candle light do not turn me on. I love my man, I am monogamous in my relationship and I would love to have sex every day. Unfortunately we live 1,100 miles apart but when I'm in a relationship where we are living in the same City or home, he has to be able to deliver. I've been like this since I was 17 and met my sons father and I'm now 49. I have been watching Porn since I was a teenager. I am in my late 30's and I really dont see a problem with it. However, I wonder if it has affected my ability to have an orgasm with a man. I find its the best way to relax before and after I have sex with my mate. Also, I havent met a man yet that has a problem with me watching with or without him.
