Hi Tyra. I'm 17 and to be 18 in two weeks. I want to join top model but i can't because i'm not a U.S citizen. I really think modeling, acting, and music are my lines of works but at times i tend to get shy because it's hard for me accept compliments from people i don't know then go home and have my family say i can't do any of the things i want. You see the thing is in their eyes, at least from my point of view, i am a failuire and headed for a doomed life of failure. I want to prove them wrong but i am afraid. My confidence is very easy to falter/ break beacuse i believe in me one second then the next it's gone. i write poetry as well and would like to publish it if it's any good. I need help Tyra. I do.
Hello Tyra, I am also a fan yours, I've tried to get tickets to your show as I would love to meet you, but I have medical problems, which I emailed you but have heard no word from you, I have had cancer 5 times last time was five month of kemo,I have out lived 4 death dates so far, I wish I could meet you, you have touched so many lives, I've even tried for a make over as I have never had one, but my wish will never come true, :( It makes me sad.My one wish is to meet you before I die, and maybe get a make over but it won't happen, I live in Idaho City, vol, at the senior center and the meals on wheels, I'm teaching Geneolagy at the LDS Church, lost my home due to kemo treatment as the landlord said to take of my self and 10 days in he got a atty, and then took my house it left me homeless for 4 months,I have vol, at the Youth Ranch in Boise for 5 yrs and my hubby 10yrs,We try to help all we can and it takes alot of my time,I am disabled since 89.,I am a granmother of 1 and 1 on the way,I have been through alot in my life time and alot of times I want to end it all,I'm so tiered of tring and struggling in my life I have no family here except my daughter and granddaughter. I feel like I'm just a loser and can't even win giveaways. I am ready to give up again, there is nothing here in life for me anymore, people just want more from me and I don't know if there is any more for me to give.I
tyra i dont care wat anyone says, i admire you for so much. am from jamaica but am on a work permit in canada, and i harly have that much oppertunity to do watever, but am just praying for u and your family and mine too.
Tyra, You are a lovely young lady, and I admire your courage of trying to educate young women and foster their self esteem; however, I think your approach is negative. Negative never works; positive works every time. That is how President Obama won remember. The shows you have on race are always about the injustices of Black people, and the only man you show great respect to is President Obama. That is teaching that he is the anomaly. This is very untrue. I am a 33 year old Black elementary school teacher, and I modeled to put myself through college. I graduated with honors. My whole family is successful, lawyers, doctors, educators, and diplomats. My first cousin Graduated from Harvard Law and now works for President Obama. He is only 29. My friends are also very successful. My best friend is black, 32 a Doctor, married to a Black Doctor, and her sister and Dad are doctors. Successful blacks are out there, and they were long before President Obama. Being an educator, I must tell you that the way to educate people is to motivate them and talk about the great black men and women in our society, not just the President and 1st lady as if they are the only educated successful blacks. I am highly offended and you seriously need to clean up the content of you show. Find a way to motivate by inspiring people. Perhaps have a show about young black men and women in the work force talking about how things have improved since President’s Obama’s win. Etc. When you had the show about women that bleach their skin, you did not contrast that with white women that tan so much, they die from skin cancer. Your show has a very shallow and negative appeal.
