I thought the show was very enlightening and was not meant to be offensive to anyone in anyway. I am a young African American woman and was somewhat comforted by the fact that I was not alone in my feelings when it comes to several issues that I find myself dealing with including finding a good man, loving myself for who I am instead of what others would like me to be and other REAL concerns . I do not believe the show was to show inferiority over one race or separate the races. If you are an African American woman the topics presented on the show are genuine and from reading some of the previous posts are not understandable to some who do not have to deal with these issues. One thing that I did find disheartening was the fact that older beautiful successful African American women are facing the same problems that I am. I am a recent college graduate who owns my own business and thought I was having trouble because I was younger and have not find my niche yet, but watching the show I realized that some problems do not diminish as I hoped they would. I sincerely loved the show and spoke about it to everyone!!!!

Hi, I am a white women married to a black man and we have 2 little boys. I didn’t watch this episode but SO wish I would have. I find it SICK, BITTER and crazy for anyone to even be speaking on how many black men marry/date white women and if the black men are doing the black women wrong by their choices. GET A LIFE and grow up if you those are your feelings. NO single race has any obligation just b/c of their skin color. That is ridiculous! People are people – Not a color- and can do as they please. It isn’t a RULE on who SHOULD morally be with who. This isn’t 1950. When I hear of anyone down grading a decision of another person and who they are with and whether or not everyone else approves, especially when its made to sound as if you SHOULD stay in ur own race I laugh. In fact, it flatters me and makes me pity the person who has such bitterness. Find a love of your own (whatever color they may be) and LIVE LIFE!

one day our black men will see their mistakes but it will be to late

I personaly was not shocked by the amount of interracial marriages that included black men and white women. If they(black men) are not mentaly up for the challenge that is their lost. I mean come on ladies, we know men always want some thing that they can not have. We also know that the grass ain't that green on the other side. So why trip there are plenty well educated and succesful MEN out and about in the world. Black women they may not be black men, but their still men who are just waiting to love, and care for you.

I don't think this show had anything to do with racism. It's just another struggle that black women have to face. I have no problem with the fact that a black man wants to date outside of his race but when he blames it on the fact that there are no good black women, that is wrong. Don't these men understand that they have mothers and sisters that are black? I think society mistakes our strength for being harsh and don't realize our struggle. It just a shame that alot of our black men can't realize it.

I was completely disheartened to see this show. It seemed as if there was total support for black men exclusively dating and marrying black women. We already tried separate but equal. It didn't work, remember?

After watching that pathetic, embarrasing, non helpful show on Black women last week I spoke to quite a few of my girlfreinds on the show and ALL of them felt the same way in saying they were a appalled, and my non-black freinds felt offended, as black people I have to admit that we forget that we too can be racist and the show was very bias and racist and this man stealing issue is stupid, you can steal an item but not a person if that happens it is kidnapping so any black women claiming that anyone has stolen their man needs to report it to the police department, lol! BTW, Tyra I am apart of a couple of womens groups and have forwarded your website info for talk show and your studio fanmail email for all of my girlfreinds to send you their opinions and opposition against bringing issues like this on your show that is not helping the black community just hurting it and causing a divide between women of all races. any person who agrees with me then please continue to send your opinions on how degrading/racist that show was to Tyra I have listed her other email and mailing address below. We also plan to contact Oprah Winfrey Tyra's mentor and get her opinion on how she thought this was handled and whether or not she agrees with it. mailing: Tyra Banks c/o studio fan mail 1122 s. robertson blvd. 115 Los Angeles ca 90035 fan mail address: tyrabanks@studiofanmail.com

If Tyra really wants to know why 70% of interracial marriages include a black male, she should follow a few black men through the dating scene. Much of the confusion and animosity comes from not knowing what it is like from a man's point of view to meet and date black women compared to other races. Honestly I feel if she followed a few guys through the dating process of meeting black women, she would be so disappointed with the results that that show wouldn't air. Track a guy for a month and you would be surprised.

dear tyra, It was an interesting show as usual but i dont understand why black women want to date black guys or any specific race. i do not discrimnate if you cute you cute. i think women should just open up and look for a man without putting a race on them and vice versa!!! luv u p.s. maybe i just 2 young

dear Tyra, i recently watched this episode of yours and found it very interesting. you see i am a white male who is deeply involved with a black woman who I'm only going to get to see four times this year. i have dated inside and outside my race and from most of the things that were discussed such as black women are demanding its my belief that both partners should not be demanding however, they should encourage each other to be the best person they can be and you and your partner should always want to continue growing not only as individually but further developing there relationship with each other. as for your first guest who was having problems finding a good man despite her success and independence and confidence this is not race related this is a lack of confidence in men in general as women progressed and became more of an influence in all aspects of business men still stayed in there caves and want to be the dominant money earner and again this is about the success of women not the success of black women. now with that i do need to say that i am not black i am not a woman and i am not an american but a canadian and my partner lover and soul mate are all those things but from what i did hear is most of the problems were women oriented and not just limited to one race. when i had heard that black women were upset that black men were looking for the blond hair blue eyed white woman and they were stealing there men i was appalled just as i would hope that people of any race would be when they hear that one group should only stay

This show is just like everyone else's show that deals with the subject. It never states the facts. Just old information. You purposely find people who have these opinions. There are more black men who will date and marry a black woman than there are black men who sellout. Black women need to know that all the numbers involved in these situations are all wrong. You cant keep saying 70% of black women are single every year. That has dropped significantly. Its ashame that white people still use other blacks to seperate us and that is what you are doin with this show tyra.

tyra i think your show shuks
