Tyra, I have read most of the comments on this show (about 10 pages) and I found a prevailing issue of black women's hair. Some women feel like it is ok to have weaves and others feel like it's shame because it shows that black women are trying to follow standards of beauty which contradicts their claims of being "strong and independent". Tyra, would you please have a show on black women's hair? I think there is a lot to be discussed, from both points of view. Hair is a big part of our lives because we're being judged on it, we spent time and money on it, sometimes we even suffer for it. So I think it would be worth it. Peace and Love.

Hello everyone.First off, I just want to say that I love and respect you, Tyra. You inspire women from all ethnics and from all walks of life. I appreciate you covering touchy topics. Anyway, I have not been keeping up with the comments, but I have watched those shows about the black men and black women, etc. I fount those shows disturbing and I found most of the people on the show ignorant. I was watching one episode when they were judging people based on their names. It bothered me when a grown man from Harlem commented that " She's from the Bronx, I'm from Harlem, most of the Chinese people we see are in the chinese resturants." That comment was absurd and it showed ignorance on his behalf. I, myself is 14 years old and I do not think like that. First off, I don't categorize all asians to be only chinese. Their are many forms of oriental descent besides Chinese. Also, living in New York, with such diversity, there should be no reason why these people are still going by inaccurate cliches. Many of the diverse wealthy people come from this city, so it was such a disappointment to hear such profound things coming from adults that represent the city I'm from. Secondly, to still be judging people on their names in 2008 makes no sense. Especially when we have Barack Obama running for president. I wonder what those folks would say about his name. I've lived in New York all my life, Brooklyn to be exact and I've heard some ignorant things and seen some horrible things. But never had I heard someone make a vivid accussation about someone being "a terroist" or a "smelly taxi driver" based on their name. All those folks who starred on

First and foremost I would like to address to the women who were offended that I feel sorry for you that you felt that this show was about you (Don't take offense because once you are not in the spotlight)! This show was about myths...do you understand what myths mean? It is a untrue statement that has been passed down for generations. Yes...maybe the verbage could have been presented better but after all it is a TV show with ratings..so I will clear it up as best as possible. There is no such thing as a white women taking our men, it is about black women who choose not to seek outside of there race an seize the opportunity of love. And in the study of interacial relationships it is embedded in the souls of the afro-american community that dates back to slavery. The past was unjust it still haunts the very root of us and only time will dilute the encryption. The darker skin was used for breeding, rather it be white, black, or any other race. We were a tool, our bodies were no longer sacret. So for years the mind, soul, was not prevalent. So we started making a stand to be heard and not desired...independant or others used what was taught to them; their body as a vessel. For the afro-american man he was taught to breed as well, but he didn't have to take responsibily for a family that would be sold or used by the dominant race of that time. He was also taught that it was okay for white man to have belly warmers even if was the one he loved. The black man could have as many as black women as he wanted but there was something left to be desired a white women

I am a white girl dating outside of my race. My boyfriend of 5 years is black. I'm not dating him because he is black, and he isn't with me because I am white. We were best friends for five years and we fell in love along the way. I do understand some black men date white girls because they don't do this or they don't do that... but more now then ever white girls do the hair extensions and the nails and everything, all the things the one man on the show said he disliked about black woman. I don't get what the difference is there?

Maybe there are others . . Tyra, I relocated to another city to be with the man I loved. When we broke up I found myself homeless, jobless, pennyless and hopeless. He kept the majority of my stuff. Now what?

TO FERN: Good Idea, I love that Idea and I thought A lot about it during the last episode of black men prefering non black women. TO KAY: "so when someone of your race is with someone of a diffrent race, it burns, its like whats wrong with us why you dont want to be with our kind anymore." Why does the WHOLE black race have to be a problem just because one person doesn't want to date in their race? TO PATRICIA: I felt A LOT of hate from the audience too. What was with that one lady telling the black who had grown up around caucasians and was now dating the red-haired white girl to find a new group of friends...and right in front of her, with no consideration...and nothing but hatred. Just to go on record, yes currently I am dating a "white boy" he is Hungarian to be exact...and he is the most serious relationship I have ever had And I am African American. I am so sick and tired of black women going "we are shrinking, we are shrinking". Yeah Rite...If anything you are participating in Darwinism. Everytime a black partner and white (or other) partner have a baby the kid is classified as white, for example Tia and Tamera Mowry...Oh, wait...they are considered black. And did Tia not just marry...a black man. Which is happening more and more and more. And even then, it is still a matter of prefernce.

Hi Tyra, I love your show and it's great to see and have a young AA Female being such a great inspiration to the people, keep it up! I also wanted to ask if you could host a show with caucasion men that prefer AA women and have all caucasion women as your audience. Because we always hear and see AA men prefer caucasion women but you never hear about caucasion men that prefer AA women. It would be interesting to have the tables turned, and to hear how caucasion women feel about caucasion men that prefer AA women. Please consider this as one of your future shows.

I am so ashame off the people in your panel today. You gotta the worse represents for the races...I am a proud brasilian, who's being in this country about 8 years, married a american man, I have a nice suburbian life, stay in home, nice house, nice cars, but "latina" full blood yes I 'm a latino, like the others who speak spanish, greek , italian... And for that brasilian gentleman in your show to say we are caucasian's I dont think so... we learn that we are brasilians,...that's is so stupid ,because the name of the president of my country for 2 terms, is "Jose" Inaciao da Silva aka LULA... that brasilian boy should never use that remarcks because us ugly, Tyra good and bad is every where...LOve your show from a proud brasilian Geruza

im a young african american female. & i hated to hear the ladies in the audience say things that made me sound like white woman were "taking" our men. i find that untrue & unfair. love is love . no matter what race , white , black , purple , blue . doesn't matter. like you all said i wished that more african american woman would venture out and find love with men of other races if they werent able to find a black man. but take a second to think of it from their point of view. Tyra disscussed the issues that AA women face = hair , skin color , stereotypes, pay etc. some issues like hair preference , and skin [ light skin black vs. dark skin black] are very touchy & personal issues to AA women. so many search for an AA men because most AA men are raised around AA women [mothers, aunts , family friends] & they see the trials and tribulations through them , so many AA women feel that AA men will have a better understanding of them. but i think the real issue at hand isn't interracial marriages. but why men in general [regardless of race] tend to not find AA women attractive. it seems that all men have negative feelings to being in a relationship with a black woman. so its not that being a black men with a white woman in wrong but that some men tend to have a racial preference , which i find odd. speically when men of other races can date within and out of their race. it seems that black men prefer to date outside of entirely. is it self hatered ? not dating your own race ? who knows. but when other races

Hey Tyra So what if you're black, white, big, skinny, short, tall thats life. God made us different for a reason. Why would I want to look like every other women. Stop focusing on what everybody else have and focus on yourself. I don't even know the hottist song or the lates fasion. if i like it i wear it if i dont i wont rich or poor. Life is not a race or a contest.Be you, be happy, that your not in Iraq living, fearing fo your life, or in africa with some of the people who are starving. I wonder do they complain about life as much as we diferent folk. I'm dark chocolate 5'4 157 and if the world do like it kiss my fat butt. love you Tyra

Hey Tyra I loved your show today with Beyonce and her family. I was happy to know that she is really a down to earth person and really loves her fans. I am interested in learning how I can get a tote bag and cologne. Della

Hey Tyra, I love you show. I am originally from Michigan(Detroit) and I am now living in the United Arab Emirates. Each time I watch your show and the subject comes up about "race" I feel my blood pop out of my skin. I am a 29 year old white woman and I am married to an arabic man. Living in the United States it the best thing in the world but I have to say I feel the people are to closed minded. Why is everything always about Black and White???? Please if someone can please tell me??? I would like for theses people to live in this country and I promise you, you would know what "racism" really is...do you realize when people in the US see a arabic man the first thing they think of???? They can't even walk down the street, Without someone think about 9/11. If I could say one thing to people who feel racism. Stop and think before you open your mouth...put yourself in the other person shoes!! Believe god loves you the way you are!!!!

All of this madness can cease today if we follow God's commandment to love our neighbor as ourselves. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Yes, ignorance has wronged some "races" in this world, and it continues to this day unfortunately. But let us be the bigger and better people and put those ignorant people to shame. Do NOT let them control your life, your peace, your joy, your future. Put your faith in God and He will change things because we humans can't do it on our own. We mess things up. Pray for a mate sent from God. Don't worry about color because really all it is melanin. Be kind to one another. If someone disrespects you for being kind, let God deal with them. My prayer is for the love of God to flow and to abound to every one. Peace and God bless.
