You're in a great relationship. He just might be "the one." So how can you be sure he's marriage material?

Psychotherapist Dr. Garry Corgiat says you should approach your relationship like a business. It might not be the most romantic idea, but treating your mate like a business partner just might work. Here are some ideas to think about before taking the marriage plunge.

1. Is this the kind of person you would want to open a business with? Could you run a company together? If not, he's probably not the right guy.
2. Does he communicate?
3. Is he a team player?
4. Does he have a good work ethic?
5. Can he handle finances?

Think About Money

The intimacy might be great, but you're not going to think about what happens between the sheets if you find out you're in financial trouble. Money coach Lynnette Khalfani says the number one thing people need to do is check their partner's FICO score. That three digit number tells you just how how financially healthy your partner is (or isn't) and you can decide how to move forward from there.

Make A Decision to Love

Father Ken Deasy says you have to commit to love. If you decide to love, you'll always have to work on compassion.

Dear Tyra, I believe you are an inspiration to many African American young women who dream of becoming a success. Stay Sweet and Successful. - Shontel, from Detroit

Hello Tyra, I absolutely LOVE all your shows. You bring me such inspiration and I learn something new from you every single day! I am now 49 but as a teenager I dreamed of being a model. Growing up in a really small town in Alabama, EVERYONE just laughed whenever I mentioned it. I think it would be such a great mini series "I Could Have Been A Model" to let women like me, maybe 50 and older, fulfill a dream even though we are older and know it is too late. Keep up the great work...you are an inspiration for all women!

hi tyra i have a boyfriend who i just had a beautiful baby boi with and u have inspired me to work hard in my relationship.... my boyfriend hasn't always been tht responsible but i have decided to go on in this "journey of challenge" with him... i say challenge because he has gone through a lot and well he has things tht really affect our relationship til this present day... u r a really great person and this section of "relationships" makes me think tht although everything said about having a good relationship is the opposite of my relationship, there is a chance for me to have a good relationship.... i love my family and i am inspired by ur programs to go on and try to work things out... i just wish there was a better easier way to handle things in a relationship... i am still under age and well while people stare at me for being a young mother i am proud of myself for trying harder and harder each day...everything i do is for my newborn BABY! and his father!

Your uplifting way, makes us all smile and stay glued to the TV. Just wanted you to know how you effect the people who watch your show!! Tyra, Your "15 Fall Must-Haves" are absolutely fabulous! I sat at home today thinking, "gosh, I'm really in need of a fashion makeover!" Being one with a keen sense of style, I've always tried to dress it up no matter the circumstance--and in my case, being nine months pregnant! So watching your show today really helped me re-discover fashion all over again and am happy to say I'd be thrilled to win all the CHIC things you were giving away on your show today...I was so jealous--yet so excited! You certainly have a way to bring sexy back this season no matter the circumstance. Thanks for such a great show!!! Sack

I'm supposed to be attending the show on October 4, 2007. But I have not received any information regarding the show. The request form, stated that I would be notified two weeks before the show. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can notify me, so that I can make arrangements. Thank You !! ((-:

Tyra Hi my name is Janie Sundust and i live with my mother and boyfriend and my two beuatiful childern Candace and Shaun. I am writing you so that maybe you would consider me for the 15 MUST HAVE FOR FALL. I am currently in college and i go to school from 5pm to 10pm. My boyfriend is the only one who works while I stay at home with the kids. We live paycheck to paycheck and i never have any money left over after paying all the bills for myself to bye something for me. So I hope you keep me in mind. Ilove your show and I watch it when I can or if the babies are asleep. By the way my kids ages are 1 and 3months old. Love you I'm a big fan.

Tyra Lynne Banks...Lynne is my sisters middle name. oh my goodness...i think your show is so awesome. it gives me great ideas and i love that u moved to nyc! when i was in my relationship with a guy, he treated me like royalty and of course I thought he was the "one". But it turns out he wasnt. We broke up about a month ago because the problem was he DID treat me like royalty. I wanted to take charge sometimes, but NO! He wanted to be in charge and thats the way it was! Well i hope people can relate to my story, see ya. and OH YA!! i cant wait until 2morrow because i can watch your show again!

hey Tyra you are a huge inspiration to me well because i'm not the most self confident person in the world. well here is why i'm posting this. i met this really great guy that goes to my church and we have gone on a few dates and he has told me that he wanted to take it slow. i was totally for that, but then one day i told him that i didn't feel right kissing him until we were going out (Like boyfriend and girlfriend. then after that it seems like he cut off all emotions to me. well we still talk and hug , but i feel that he's lost interest with me. my mom says it's just a guy thing and i'm to paranoid. Is she right ??

Hi Tyra! Ive been looking every where, to enter for the 15 Hot things to wear for fall, and i cannot find it. i was wondering if you can help me out! Id really love to win that, because right now, i have no hip or IN styles, all my clothes is about a year or 2 old, i still try to make it fashionable but, i usually just find myself dressing very boyish, help me become girly TRYA!! Thanks xoxo

Hello Ms. Tyra, I would like to start off by saying that I am a huge fan. I would like to be considered to win the 15 Things you must wear for the fall because, I can't afford it. I will be honest with my 4 year old daughter under my care with rent and bills, I cannot afford work clothes. Also I feel that this will raise my self esteem and I will not be looked down with other coworkers. My coworkers dress nice and feel confident, i think I dont because of the old fashion clothe that I wear. But its not my fault I can't afford it. Hopefully you will consider me, thanks! Gisell

I have to say that the quiz for seeing if you're doomed for divorce seems a little off. Because it doesn't factor in communication or interests you and your mate have in common. And I don't really think college has anything to do with it. Some friends of mine are happily married for about 6 years now, I'm pretty sure both attended college. My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years, he went to a small college to study for jewelry, and I...just did some correspondence courses through the mail. I'd like to think we're just as happy as our married friends, yet I only scored a 2 on the test. Also age is not a factor, and probably should not be a factor in this quiz. Some people mature earlier than others and are capable of handling adult responsibilities, and then you can have someone over the age of 30 that's not really a grown-up yet because they don't know what they want in life. I think this quiz should be redone by an actual married couple who has been through everything there is to be through, not a person claiming to know a bit of information about relationships...then again...I didn't watch the show so I don't know who came up with it. And AMEN to Courtney up above...money DOES NOT make your marraige last longer unless all the two of you care about is money money money. Love and communication are what help a marriage to last. Like I stated, we're going on 3 years, I'm only 22 yet I have enough smarts in my head to know what makes a relationship work and what does not!!
