You're in a great relationship. He just might be "the one." So how can you be sure he's marriage material?

Psychotherapist Dr. Garry Corgiat says you should approach your relationship like a business. It might not be the most romantic idea, but treating your mate like a business partner just might work. Here are some ideas to think about before taking the marriage plunge.

1. Is this the kind of person you would want to open a business with? Could you run a company together? If not, he's probably not the right guy.
2. Does he communicate?
3. Is he a team player?
4. Does he have a good work ethic?
5. Can he handle finances?

Think About Money

The intimacy might be great, but you're not going to think about what happens between the sheets if you find out you're in financial trouble. Money coach Lynnette Khalfani says the number one thing people need to do is check their partner's FICO score. That three digit number tells you just how how financially healthy your partner is (or isn't) and you can decide how to move forward from there.

Make A Decision to Love

Father Ken Deasy says you have to commit to love. If you decide to love, you'll always have to work on compassion.

Hi Tyra, I am a big fan of your show of course! You are a great role model for women of all ages. I really need some help!!! I have been seperated from my husband for going on 9 months now. The reason why I left was because there was no communication,he has alot of insecurities, nothing else in common with each other but our child together. After being together for 14 years (married now for 11 yrs) he is my best friend, and was my roomate before I left. I have met someone that was a friend of mine whom I fell madly in love with. We have so much in common. He is like the male version of me. He is so much of what I have always wanted in a man. I am having such a hard time of letting go of my husband. I have told him that I want a divorce and that im in love with someone else. We have talked about everything that has gone wrong over the years, and that I truely feel like everything he is doing is now too late for me to stay. Im not in love with him anymore and have told him several times. But I love him and care about him so much! I don't know how to have boundaries with him or not be jealous of other women in his life.I don't know how to move on with my life, and how to let go of the past. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I am at my lowest point in my life right now because of this confusion, and I recently closed my business. My business was like my other child. Hey Tyra! I know you might hear this often but I just want you 2 know that your a role model & I look up 2 you.... Tyra Im a 19 yr old who just moved back in with my mother after being gone for 2 yrs. I was living with my boyfriend & we were together for 4 yrs. He broke up with me last month & im really heartbroken.... I really really need your help & advice it would mean the world 2 me if I could hear from you... There is more 2 my story & realationship with my ex... hey tyra. i want to start by saying that i love your show, i read this artical above, and my boyfriend fits all of those 5 things, but there is one thing that i keep thinking about.. how often we see eachother, and the only reason it is holding me back is because he is in Iraq right now, and i dont know if falling for him completely would be the best desicion for me, another reason i am scared is divorce, my parents got divorced when i was 3, and my dad got custody, when i was 12 he got re-married, and another divorce and i know that you give great advice and i really really need your help please email me ♥

hello tyra, I am writing just to hear another view on my dating fiascos. I was involved with a man I had know for 3 years before we started dating. The dating turnned into an engagement. Only after a few months I caught him cheating. I took it really hard. I was getting over him and strated to move on in life. He texted me one day a photo of him on a cruise with another woman. This just tore me up. I changed my phone numbers so he couldn't contact me again. months went on, I still have feelings for him, but I was willing to go on in my life. Well, he started to email me saying that he wanted to come back home and he was sorry. Ok, after I thought it out, I let him come back into my life he is very convencing. We started to date aain. I asked him to move in with me. He started to move in when one day, as he was moving in, that I found out there was a woman he let move into his place, and he was only moving things into my palce to make room for her. I cannot for the life of me know how can a person do such emtional harm to another for no reason. We were over, and he reached back and dragged me back in. It is my stupidity, I know. The new woman even emailed me that I was to stop calling her husband. Now, they are not married, but he allowed her to do this. He still says that he loves us both and is torn. He wants to still be in my life, but she is stll there, and he is on the dating sites looking for

Hi tyra. My name is Corsica and even though im not in a relationship i recently was and we broke up after goin together for one wk and some days because pretty much im a virgin. When he was locked up we wrote back and forth him tellin me he luv me and sayin how he respects me even more for bein by his side and bein a virgin but when he got out it was a whole different story. I didnt hear from him until a wk or two later on myspace sayin what he said the second time. Two days ago i was outside reading his 3 letters debatin if i should throw them away or keep them so i decided to call him hopin we could talk and least tellin me why he did what he did for the second time after lookin me in the eyes and tellin me he love me you know? To my surprise he was home but what i wasnt expecting was him hangin up on me immmediately after i asked one simply queston" why reese?" I know i should move on and there's been times ive wanted to kill myself due to other things in my life which is something nobody knows about not even my mom.I know i dont have a chance with him on the phone because all he will do is hang up so if you could help me any way possible please do because im only 19 and if i have more pain to come then i dont want to be here at all.
